It has been assumed for many generations that the great creatures of mythology are all figments of mankind’s imagination. But most creatures of so called fantasy do in fact have some basis in reality and most of them, if not all of them did at one time truly exist. All the horrors of Greek and Roman mythology once walked this Earth and they are poised to return. They will usher in the Apocalypse. Nay, she will usher in the Apocalypse. For she is the Gorgon, and her return shall bring the return of the rest.
Medusa was the name the world had for her. A horror of the ancient world.
Evil should be her name. Through the ages there have been many truths and untruths written about her legend. She does possess a head full of venomous snakes, and she does present a very hideous sight. But she can not turn anyone or anything into stone. Lastly, she is a predator, she feeds on other monsters, most notably vampires.
Death has returned because she has returned. The Gorgon is free. Medusa is free. She is free especially to hunt the vampire kingdoms that guard the ancient tombs and prisons. She will then free the ancient monsters who until this day have remained trapped.
Unless she can be stopped, the world will drift inevitably towards the Apocalypse. Ancient evils more gruesome than the world has known since the beginning of time would be set upon the Earth again.
She will destroy the vampires and all hope the world has for containing the evil of biblical times. But there is one adversary who could possibly destroy her. The boy werewolf king, Titus, he defeated Medusa 3,000 years ago. He buried her so deeply under the Earth it has taken her this many years to dig her way out. The boy king knew she wasn’t dead and he has been waiting for her return. Eagerly. The boy king has in fact spoken of and predicted his final battle with the Gorgon using terms like “destiny”.
At long last perhaps the boy king will see his wish come true. Perhaps now at long last the vampires will allow him to do that which he does best. Hunt and kill.
